Compliant – Secure – Scalable

Electronic Reporting System for fisheries authorities

A comprehensive ERS solution for governments, RFMOs, and fisheries authorities to receive, validate, and manage electronic catch reporting data. Fully compliant with EU ERS 3.1 and FLUX standards, with seamless integration into national and international fisheries monitoring systems. It serves as the central hub for receiving, processing, and validating all electronic logbook data from fishing vessels operating in your waters.

Key capabilities

Automated Validation

Comprehensive business rule validation checks all incoming messages for completeness, consistency, and compliance. Automatic acknowledgment messages (RET) are sent back to vessels with validation results.

VMS Integration

Cross-reference reported fishing positions with actual VMS tracks to verify catch locations. Identify discrepancies between declared and actual fishing zones for improved compliance monitoring.

FLUX communication

Built-in FLUX P1000-3 gateway for automated exchange of fisheries data with EU member states, flag states, and coastal states. Supports all standard FLUX business processes and message types.

Real-time Data Reception

Receive and process electronic logbook messages from any ERS-compliant electronic logbook system. Support for EU ERS 3.1 XML format, FLUX, and PoseiDAT ensures compatibility with all major vessel systems and modern open data standards.

Reporting & analytics
Generate comprehensive reports on catch statistics, fleet activity, quota uptake, and compliance metrics. Export data in standard formats for further analysis or reporting to international bodies.
Quota management

Track catch quantities against allocated quotas in real-time. Automatic alerts when vessels approach quota limits, with support for national and EU quota management requirements.

Web-based User Interface

EFICE ERS features a modern, intuitive web interface accessible from any device with a standard web browser. Inspectors, analysts, and administrators each have role-appropriate views optimised for their workflows.

A centralised dashboard provides real-time oversight of all incoming messages, active fishing trips, and system alerts. Colour-coded indicators highlight messages requiring attention, pending validations, and quota warnings. Customisable widgets allow users to configure their view according to operational priorities.

Data Exchange

EFICE ERS includes a fully compliant FLUX (Fisheries Language for Universal Exchange) gateway for automated exchange of fisheries data with the European Union and partner states. The system supports all mandatory FLUX business processes as well as optional processes for enhanced data sharing.

Complete fisheries data management

Our ERS can operate as a standalone catch reporting platform or integrate seamlessly with your existing Vessel Monitoring System (VMS), enabling cross-validation of reported catches against actual vessel positions and fishing activities. This integration helps detect potential misreporting and ensures accurate fisheries data for sustainable stock management.

With over 25 years of experience serving fisheries authorities across Europe, EFICE delivers proven technology trusted by governments and Regional Fisheries Management Organisations.

Deployment options

EFICE ERS can be deployed according to your organisation’s requirements and IT policies, with full support for both cloud-hosted and on-premises installations.

Cloud hosted (SaaS)

Let EFICE manage the infrastructure while you focus on fisheries management. Our secure European data centres provide reliable hosting with automatic updates, backups, and 24/7 monitoring. Ideal for organisations seeking rapid deployment with minimal IT overhead.
