The position

As a Software Developer at EFICE, you help build the systems our customers use every day, from logbooks for skippers at sea to ERS systems for governments and dashboards for shipowners. You work in a small, close-knit development team where you are given responsibility for real features, from initial design to going live. No two days are the same: one morning you are working on a new integration with a government system, the next afternoon you are working with support to fix a bug affecting a customer in Norway.

What will you do?

  • Designing, building and maintaining functionalities within our software products (M-Catch, ERS, dashboards and more)
  • Contributing to technical documentation
  • Translating customer wishes and feedback from practice into concrete technical solutions
  • Writing clean, well-tested and maintainable code
  • Collaborating with support and fellow developers to resolve technical issues
  • Thinking along about the architecture, performance and scalability of our systems

Who are you?

  • Experience with software development, for example with: JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Angular, React and Bootstrap.
  • Affinity with databases, APIs and integrations between systems
  • Structured way of working with an eye for detail: quality and reliability are your top priorities
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English, as our customers are international
  • Affinity with the fisheries sector is a nice bonus, but absolutely not required
  • Curious and proactive: you enjoy thinking along about how things can be improved
